What Called Jazz and Jazzy Love Song

On this beautiful afternoon, my buddy, Candra (I'd like to call him Cancan or Tokecan), visited my home. I invited him to have a lunch with me before copied all of his pictures when he performed on stage on Kharisma Jazz Festival which held on my campus, UB, some times ago. We enjoyed spending the time sharing many things, like what has happened to me the day and day before. Then we dicussed about what jazz music is. We both love jazz, but no really know about jazz so much, especially pure jazz. Hhhmm, but we agree that 'what called jazz', eer 'pure jazz' is sometimes rather difficult to listen. So we do like to listen 'we called jazz' which more easy listening, even it is not trully/pure jazz, for example some songs are sung by Tompi, Maliq n d'essentials, Ecoutez, and Andien.

Hm, I think that 'what called jazz' is about taste when we listen it, isn't it?! I do like to call it jazz, when there's piano, saxofone and contra bass ('bass betot' in Indonesia), like a song from Esperanza Spalding, 'I know you know', there's contra bass playing. Wow, it's nice!

And after Cancan copied all of the performance picture, I copied jazz song that he has. Some of songs I've ever known, but I was really sure it is sung by another singer that I've ever known, such as 'Nature Boy' which I know was sung by Celine Dion. Surprisingly, while I listened all songs I've copied to, I found a song which the title is not so strange for me, 'At Last'. Ow my gosh! I know it is sung by Celine Dion too, yet I know this is sung by Etta James. To remind me about the song, I searched the lyrics on Google, and I found this http://www.romantic-lyrics.com/atlast.shtml

At Last Lyrics by Etta James

At last, my love has come along
My lonely days are over
And life is like a song
Oh, yeah, at last
The skies above are blue
My heart was wrapped up in clovers
The night I looked at you
I found a dream that I could speak to
A dream that I can call my own
I found a thrill to rest my cheek to
A thrill that I have never known
Oh, yeah when you smile, you smile
Oh, and then the spell was cast
And here we are in heaven
For you are mine
At last

I so much enjoy listening this song.. And I think it is not so bad compared with Celine Dion version. The difference I feel more jazzy with
Etta James version. Agree?!
This song is so sweet, and my imagination immediately sailing wherever it goes. I dream how sweet it is when I listen this song with a man I really love with all of my heart. Uuuuwhh, so lovely, so romantic, so sweet!! ^^

And the 2nd song actually I not really know the meaning, but from the rhythm is so fun to listen. This song is sung by Robbie Williams, 'Beyond The Sea'. Of course I searched the lyric to get more feeling about the song.
http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/robbiewilliams/beyondthesea.html

"Beyond The Sea"

Somewhere beyond the sea,
Somewhere waiting for me,
My lover stands on golden sands
And watches the ships that go sailing.

Somewhere beyond the sea
She's there watching for me.
If I could fly like birds on high
Then straight to her arms I'd go sailing

It's far beyond the star,
It's near beyond the moon.
I know beyond a doubt
My heart will lead me there soon

We'll meet beyond the shore
We'll kiss just as before
And happy we'll be beyond the sea
And never again I'll go sailing

I know beyond a doubt
My heart will lead me there soon
We'll meet, I know, we'll meet beyond the shore
We'll kiss just as before
And happy we will be beyond the sea
And never again I'll go sailing

No more sailing
So long, sailing, sailing, no more sailing

Good-bye, farewell my friend, no more sailing

So long sailing, no more sailing

No more, farewell...

No more sailing

So much fun spending the night listening to what called jazz music. :D
Hey, do the same, listen these guys!! :D

The Unforgetable: KKN Mapres

KKN stands for Kuliah Kerja Nyata, yet I'd like to say it community service. And Mapres means Mahasiswa Berprestasi (outstanding?? hmm). Ooh, we (in team) agreed that we were not! ;) So, this activity I joined in this early year 2012 on January-February at Ngantru Village, a very beautiful village I knew. There, we submitted and shared knowledges that we have to help and motivate people for the prosperous and even wishing for the welfare of the society.

I went there and lived there about 16 days with my fabulous team. They are Kurniawan (as coordinator of team), Yoga, Bayu, Irwin, Irma, Ardhita, mas Eko, Yani, Adam, and Anni. Some of them I've never known before. But finally we knew each other personally coz we were living in the same house there, one house, one roof, hehehe. We knew each habit, some of them like to have coffee everyday, listen to "galau" music, sweep the floor every morning, cook for all member in the house, do the exercise every morning, play the game in notebook, and many more. We spent all the time together for having breakfast, lunch, and dinner, even supper, watching sad movies and crying together, playing with kids around, singing "galau" songs together, and all of the things we did together that I can't mention one by one. Beside that knowing what they like, we knew what they dislike too, and also what they scared of. Ooh, all of the things of them colored my day there! Funny, sweet, so kind, yet sometimes lil' bit suck :p And 16 days are completely made us agree that "WE ARE FAMILY". :)

Spending the time with them is so unforgetable :)

My Thesis

Ooh God, I really do not know what should I do, between being grateful or being cursed by this topic. :|
I got Imperata cylindrica, or as known as cogongrass or alang-alang in Indonesia, to be my topic because of it contains antioxidants which I don't really understand the kind is, phenol, or flavonoid, or elses. WHAT IS THAT??? sounds something strange. Sometimes I got stuck with if I couldn't find a journal which is related, like I wanna scream outloud!! Aaarrggh! So suck! TT^TT

Yeah I know, I know, exactly, that complaining and grumbling aren't allowed, that are bad, but I feel tired. You know, TIRED!! Really human, isn't it?! But I would not let myself going down or giving up of this that sometimes I feel it's not a very difficult instead of my friends, coz I have big God who will help me. *feeling lil' bit grateful and optimist* I'd not stop trying and wishing to God give me ease to pass all about this preliminary study and research of making bread with cogongrass itself.

YES, WE CAN!!
KEEP SPIRIT!!! :)

Molten Cake

Guuuuuuuuuuuuuyyyyyyyyyyyssssss!!! I'm back!! It's been a long long time I've no posting..
I miss typing so bad!! :(
I had so many activities to do since the last time I've posted on this blog. Oo yeah, I have a good news! I've been starting to do preliminary study for my thesis. yeeaay! In the sidelines of my activities in doing preliminary study and hanging out with buddies, I tried a recipe from KOKI tabloid which I bought a long time ago.

Made from dark chocolate, butter, flour, egg, and sugar, so here is my Molten Cake. :)

It's so yummy!
*better if you made it half-baked, so we get it slushy or melt (if you put a piece of dark chocolate) on the center of cake. ouugh! you can't stand to wait to taste and bite this... go! make it! :9

2nd Audition

This time I do all the best I can do. I am finalist number 17 from 30 other finalists. The audition was divided into 2 sessions, and I was in the 2nd. And I was on the 2nd order perform after finalist number 16. But hell no! She didn't come. Great, perfect, I was the "lucky" number 1!!! TT^TT

Hm, I didn't really care actually about it. I enjoyed the audition as training maybe, not competition. I didn't nervous at all. Yeah, just let it be. Smiling from it started until finished. :D

Make up and hijab session started, and like I did last night with Afril at my private room, I cleaned my face with VIVA milk cleanser and face tonic first. Then spreaded my sun block cream from my dermatologist, then VIVA fondation. After that I attached my WARDAH face powder, and the last touched PIGEON compact powder.

Moved to the eye make up. I'd like to have eye shadow with PAC (I had two colors, golden brown for eyelid, and light grey on other part as the base color to touch up with other color), and REVLON (blue color, touched up on the grey PAC). To give the strong impression on eye, I made "border" on my eyelid with LA TULIPE eyeliner black color. And last touched for eye area, I borrowed Mellisa (finalist number 18, sitted next to me, MAYBELINN maskara for my eyelash)

Hm, almost completed. :)
Last touched, I had REVLON for blush on my cheek, and REVLON lipstick pink color for my lips.
And the make up session finished! Then, continued with photo session and the last session was walking on catwalk.

While I had been home, after the audition, I captured my own picture with my Nikon D40 of course. So this is... :)

Eventhough I couldn't pass this audition to the final, for me this is my precious experience. It needs an extra large of self confidence to join an audition like this if you never wonder that you are qualified to. Hehehe :p

Catwalk Model???

I never expected before to 'smell' even a lil' about this stuff! I have a dream to be a fashion design, but never thinking about trying to be catwalk model. Ow my GOSSHHH!

It firstly because of Rizka forced me to join this contest, Hijabers Malang Model Hunt 2012. Just because she is my best friend, so I with the truly heavy heart joined this to make her satisfy. But I did with my best of course but not hoping so much to pass the first auditions. If I pass, Alhamdulillah, if it's not, it's okay coz it's not my passion to be.

And the fate said, "I succeed as the top 30 finalist". Oh hell *ups noooo!! Alhamdulillah, but what to do after that?? Lil' happy but so much afraid, coz I think I'm not qualified as a model. Looked from height? oh no. Face? not also. I'm soo shy, no convidence even Winda, Paman Gembul, Mas Yudi, Abang Ian, Rizka, and others giving me spirit and support. Sigh!

(Aaarrgh, why should these pictures selected?!)

This afternoon, I have to pass the make up and hijab session, continue with catwalk session, and the last photo session. Hell! What to do?? TT^TT Allah, please help me!!! *begging

Hey, just wish me luck! Although with a heavy heart, I will do my best! *cross the heart
I have to pass this test to get the final, top 10 finalist. Iwish coz I just wanna make them who giving me support and spirit, dissapointed. Hehehe. Ammiin yra. :p
*but I'm not hoping too much, let it flow :p --> still pessimist

Dumpling "Tomuchi" Noodle ala Cepuk As Vivie

Ow gosh! It's been long long time no posting, uh?! So this is the first posting in this year! *cheer for it!! :D*
Many duties I've been done, plus my sister came home in the end 2011 till the beginning 2012.. So I loved to spend my time with her, instead of sitting in front of my lovely blue notebook. Hehe. And during she was home, I liked to cook and eat the food I cooked with her, beside go shopping everyday. Ooh, kinda quality and lovely time for her! I was really happy and enjoyed it so much! :)

Well, I have two recipes to show on my blog to you, hey readers :) You can try this too at your kitchen. I'll share the ingredients but exclude the way I cooked.
The first recipe is Dumpling "Tomuchi" Noodle, and the second is Cheesy Mushroom Ommelete. Fortunately all are improved ala Cepuk As Vivie. Yeah, surely guys, and those are so much delicious from the original recipes. Believe it! Hahaha. :D

And here is Dumpling "Tomuchi" Noodle ala Cepuk As Vivie. I'll show you the picture.

Anyway, do you know what is "Tomuchi"? It stands for Tomato Mushroom Chicken. Hahaha :D
Yaph, I'd like to have special something called sauce with a sour and lil' salty taste for the Dumpling Noodle.

Describing about this recipe, I'll tell you from the "tomuchi" first. I'd like to have tomato, mushroom, and grinded chicken which already roasted, as the ingredients. And yeah coz this is stir-frying, don't forget to prepare margarine or cooking oil. It's up to you. For spices, I have garlic and onion. Others are salt and white pepper.

For the noodle, I have chicken oil or vegetable oil (as your choice), sesame oil, fish sauce, salt, and white pepper. Those are mix with boiled noodle. It's gonna be tasty noodle.

The last, must have compliment is the dumpling itself!

Ooh, it's so yummy yummy yummy!! So, try to make it at your kitchen! It's a very simple and easy recipe from Cepuk As Vivie. Good Luck! :)
